Paint/Cleaning question...
I've noticed when cleaning my car that the white paint seems to be a little "creamy" in areas (especially on the boot and the rear bumper)... other areas it's bright white?
I'm going to try and get the bumper resprayed as it has some small cracks, but is there anything that can get the paint bright again?
Cheers Bibo

Is the paint in need of claying?
Run your hands accross the surface and if it feels gritty and rough then yes.
These contaminants are probably dulling your paint. You can always use a paint cleanser too.
If you really want to start from scratch then aa use a wash of dilute Poorboys all purpose cleaner to wash the car with. This will littarally stip it back to bare, removing all traffic film, polish and wax on the surface.
But will provide a good base to start from.

this car was gorgeous. huge but in great condition for it's age apart from the oxidization to the paint. this is what the claybar treatment along with 2 stages of polish and an acrylic lsp can do. It brought the colour right back and even all over, well apart from the spoiler, and the reflections improved a bit too
i'm at the lodge on thursday Bibo we've got some judging to do

I have found that the clay bar does help, but i've always found that Meguiers x-scratch (very mild cutting polish), brings the muck off a treat and it's nice and shiny again.
