yes the car looks and drives great, iam keen to find out who done the mods to the car and what type of remap has it had as the car is suppose to have around 350bhp.

the car does sound amazing with those pops and bangs, currently being heard around the streets of glasgow!
cheers

I know the car very well, as it was a work colleague's car and I've personally worked on it.

The mods are

ARP style Intercooler (can't remember the make now)
TD05 Turbo conversion by ScoobyTek
Compbrake 330mm Big brake conversion, the disks and pad have only been on the car for about 6 months
Cold air induction kit with modified STI foglight covers
Full hayward and Scott system including up pipe
Ported and polished exhaust manifold
Henko 255 fuel pump (equivilent of Walbro)
Genuine PFF7 18" alloys
ScoobySport spoiler with carbon fibre blade
Autogauge's - Oil pressure, Oil temp and boost
Flamer kit
P1 clutch, gearbox and rear diff
HKS super sequential dumpvalve
Colour coded skirts
Kenwood MP3 player
Tein suspension springs

The car hasn't been remapped as James had bought a house, so didn't get a chance to have it done, what with buying furniture, etc.
On a rolling road, the car got 302BHP
For the last 8 months, the car was only used at weekends and was regularly polished

thanks for the useful information, it's amazing what info you can get.

surely with these mods the car would need a remap?

usually when people ask about an induction kit you guys recommend a remap never mind all the mods this car has?

to be honest mate, the car does need a remap, like I said, he was in the process of buying a house so he never got round or had the money to have it done. it was hardly driven for the last 8 months, only used at weekendsand always filled up with Shell Optimax with octane booster (Silkolene Proboost)

The car is running rich, hence the pops and bangs

I'd say about 320 tops, it's running standard injectors so will probably be maxing out with the remap

Betts was going to get Andy Forrest to remap the car funnily enough, and Andy said with the mods listed about 320

Deffo a set of STI pinks at least. I dont think you could stretch the stock WRX ones that far with an FPR.

What turbo is it??? 16 or 18?

Been scared in the passenger seat many times in this car, for a lowly 302bhp, it's bl00dy quick!!! The turbo is a TD05 16G, Betts kept the stock injectors until he saved up for the remap, but then got the house and sold the car.

With STi pink injectors (550's) Andy should be able to get around 330-340bhp out of it, may even be able to squeeze 350 if your lucky!!

Great looking car and has all the right bits on for a WRX, be careful of that flamer, you could ignite a small country with it

The timing belt hasn't been changed, thats due in the 60k service, yet another reason why Betts sold it

the plan is to get the car booked into andy F and before it goes in try and get a used set / cheaper than new set of sti pink injectors so i can max the potential of power.

anyone know what make of cold air induction it has.

Once remapped i will get it onto a rolling road and will keep you guys posted on the power output.

in the service book it says 50k service is the timing belt change?

the car is now on 59k, seems that betts sold it to a female from chelmsford who had it for a very short while then sold it to a guy in glasgow who again only had it a few weeks, he never even registered the v5 in his name and had the full v5 document with her signature on it, so at least he will not show as another owner.

damm fools who buy a scoob and don't realise what they have bought, i am just glad i have now rescued it, can't wait till a dry weekend to get it polished!

Best thing to do is to give Xtreme Scoobies a call and see what they say.

Speak to Knowlesy or Paul, they know Betts's car quite well: 01245 363623

Was talking to Betts about the car and he's amazed that the car has been sold on a couple of times already!
By the sounds of it, it's gone to a good home
