Gauging Interest
After that cracking trip to Monkeyworld, it occured to me that if everyone enjoyed it as much as we did, then there is another place that we go to which is also for families.
We go once a year (sometimes twice) to this place -:
www.cotswoldwildlifepark.co.uk
Cost £9 to get in just like Monkeyworld & £6.50 for the kiddies.
There is loads of different animals here (and yes there are MONKEY's!!) and it's another nice day out for families.
The map on the web site of the park is pretty accurate and if you also look for the car park area, that's probably fairly accurate in size as well so you can see how big the park is when compared to the size of the car park.
Just in case anyone's concerned - cars are parked up (Like Monkeyworld) and you don't get any of the animals climbing all over your cars.....
Trip up there is pretty simple - M25, M40 and then off round the Oxford Ring Road (which is a ruddy nightmare) then a slowish drive along the A40 to Burford and that's it! - Takes me about 1½ hrs, maybe 1¾ if the traffics bad from Harlow.
Question is (and this is why I've started this thread) - would members be willing to have a trip here before Xmas, or leave it to next year and guage the interest then..... ??
Do we want one family "zoo"/"park" trip a year, or can we fit in another??
Have a look at the web site and see what they have got and then leave your comments so I can guage the interest. If it's positive then I don't mind trying to get a trip sorted (assuming we can fit it into our calender!!).....
If no-one wants to do it - say so, I won't mind - honest!!
