oh right, cheers Baz. I kinda guessed that was the reason but he never actually said so..
The slimline one was designed for being used in car installs - I cant understand why they made the disc tray open from the top, how stupid is that as you require approx 4" (100mm) of space above the PS2 to change discs - I would have thought it better to leave it as front sliding tray!!

because it is for my instal #l i running out of room already have a pc in the car so i wanted a slim line easier to locate it some were a bit better than the large model i dont really want to go buy one as already have one just rather swop
