T1Rs are the nads ... have them on the WR1. Only prob with them is that they get ripped to shreds on a track day or with hard road use. Last about half the amount of time that P Zero Neros last. Which I reakon are one of the best tyres to put on.
If you're not going to be doing much track driving, or loads of sideways action around every roundabout then T1Rs are perfect!

I was asking this question a few weeks back and after some digging around it seemed Toyos were the popular choice for value for grip.
I however went for the Michelin PS2's as these were regarded a "better" tyre if you ignored the price.
After the advice on here, I got mine fitted at Leigh tyres, (steve) for £470 fitted, balanced etc., Would add my recommendation to getting them done here.
Thus far they feel far better than the stock Potenza's, but then the Potenza's were worn and did survive a track day before being completely fooked.
Just go for the best you can for your budget.
Everyone has a different view on rubber, and this is imho, and using the knowledge I built up with tyres from racing bikes.

If you want cheap Toyo's go for the T1-S
Still a very good tyre and should be a lot cheaper as they are the older design.
I've got them and have no complaints at all.

T1-S are good tyres, though the walls are soft,
T1-R are better as the walls are reinforced, so making them better for track days.
The tyres are a soft compound, hence the high levels of grip.
The Toyo T1-S lasted about a year on my scoob, and thats doing the driver training day, and Silverstone.
My advice is to inflate the tyres to around 35 - 40PSI to stop tyre roll on hard cornering (which kills the walls)

T1-R
Had Pirelli P Zero Neros before, got shot of them long before I needed too as the car felt a bit to 'edgy'
On the Pug I swap between Eagle F1 and T1-R's, TBH, I don't really notice the difference.
