Saturday Night Cruise
Hi I am a newby but I want to drive my Scooby not stand around and look at it. If anyone want to meet up and go for a long drive in convoy this Saturday or Sunday night around 8 ish let me know. I am in Walthamstow E17 but will go anywhere East London, Essex,Kent, Middx

Welcome to the club bud.
The first day of every month is the Southend cruise. This used to consist of meeting at Basildon, setting off for Southend, makng a couple of passes on the seafront to make some noise before parking up again.
This has changed now as the Southend stop point no longer has a tea hut, so the amended route now consists of 1 pass through the seafront, out the other side and head to McDonald's airport for a pit stop, then a casual drive through some back roads to the sea life car park on the seafront.
Maybe have a look into attending one of these or alternatively, the last Saturday of every month is the pub meet, static, food and drink etc... We have discussed a spirited drive through some country roads before but nothing was ever put into place. Hopefully, when the weather improves we can look into it again.

DO'S & DON'TS FOR ALL MEMBERS
1. No Doughnuts , Flame Testing, Handbrake Turns or Excessive Exhaust Noise whilst in Tescos car park . This is our home please don't abuse it
2. Once in convoy. Keep checking your mirrors for other vehicles that get stuck in the convoy ! Please indicate & move over to left lane and let them filter through.
3. Be ready for the "Underpass" slow down & launch
Warning ! Make sure your at 50 Mph before getting to the 1st yellow average speed camera post after the weir underpass. It's a sneaky fixed speed camera trap !! It's not a AVERAGE SPEED camera !!
4. When regrouping at the seafront. Drive all the way around the bend and park up before the speed camera .
5. Drive ALL the way along the seafront past the Kursaal & double back at the Thorpe Esplanade roundabout , If you wish to park up straight away without driving the full loop , Please stay at the back after the re group ( Westcliff end ) & let the main group carry on to complete the full circuit
6. Fixed Cameras / Traffic Units / Mobile Cameras / Keep your eyes peeled
