Default P0103 MAF Error Code - Fresh Remap

Hi All,

Got my car mapped yesterday by Neil @ Slowboy racing, firstly just want to say how that Neil done an awesome Job and completely transformed the cars driving! excellent service and very helpful.

Drove fine yesterday, however today I gave it a good boot and went full whack and at high revs the CEL came up, plugged it in and it is a P0103 code which is high MAF input? didnt want to bother the mapper as thought maybe it was just a quick fix as it was fine yesterday? any ideas anyone?

Cheers
Sam

Think you need to go back to your mapper and have it redone

Had heard that MAF can't cope with higher bhp levels. Obviously don't know what your car is producing but may need to consider going MAFless.

I'd guess 330-350bhp??

Hi Sam

I would speak with Neil@Slowboy racing about this at first place

Can be the MAF is on way out or can be just Neil will needs to adjust the MAF

If you running Induction kit and this weather doesn't help too on MAF based cars, mainly if you are drive car to the puddle of water etc,due this I would speak first with Neil and from this I would go

there is a MAF voltage limit in the ECU map. if someone by accident forgets to increase this limit then you'll get an error at high boost/high RPM combo when mapped. Should take the mapper only a few mins to reflash with an increased limit.

No mate I worked out it only comes on if I rev over 6500 rpm :-) and I done abit of research and it's just a built in warning for standard map saying there is to much air going past maf that's all, it's fine but annoying , but I will get it tweaked out , when I get a few other mods :-)
