Twin map on ecutek

You can have twin maps.... dependant on ECU variant. JDM newage will allow this feature, but it's not available on the EU variants.
You can get around this on UK ECU's (I even do this on my JDM OEM ECU so I can have more than two maps) by using EcuTEK's PROECU. You'll need a laptop or tablet to write the tuner files to your ECU (takes seconds), which can be a pain when you want to swap, but it all works fine and dandy. PROECU is about £200 for the software and programming cable.

As above - yes.
You're writing an EcuTEK ROM file that your mapper has created, to your ECU. In your case you would ask him to create two ROM files.... one for VPower and one for your Meth mix. You just "swap them in and out" as you desire.... job done.
Even though my model of the OEM ECU will handle twin maps, I still prefer to use the functionality I'm advising to you, for switching between fuel strategies. It's possible to inadvertently switch maps on my ECU..... I don't want to be doing that with Meth and VP maps - could end in disaster. Much safer doing it manually imo.

Hi Shaun,
Cheers for sharing all the information.
I have just bought a JDM ecu for my 2003 WRX, i want to have 2 maps put on, low and high boost.
Who did you use to map your JDM ecu for 2 maps? Could you PM the cost too please :-)

I have used both Richard Bulmer (Tracktive Solutions) and Bob Rawle (BR Developments) for my EcuTEK maps. I would recommend both very very highly.
The price for the mapping you would have to discuss direct with these guys as they both sponsor my project car.
If your ECU has a EcuTEK licence on it already, that will save you £150+vat..... it will then be the cost of the mapping, which for the initial map is usually around £400.
Regards,
Shaun
