Default Remapping what happen's

Hi Guys,


My car is getting map this week - just wondering what happens with the remap, its a non rolling road one, so do i just leave the mapper with the car, do i drive, do they drive?

I've only done mine on rollers but I believe you drive under the mappers instructions while he's in the passenger seat

Judging by a recent thread we all do it differently so my posting how I feel it should be done might be entirely different to how it will be etc.

Best you speak with mapper.

i drove and the mapper mapped - thats the open road style of map, which suits certain applications more than the rolling road type, open road is more for the detail tune and finishing touches. mapper can set ecu in real time using real life external road conditions air temps etc. had a road map recently was good fun! br developments bob rawle quality result!.

yip he sits beside you in the passenger seat with the laptop plugged in and his cans on - its bloody scary ! - you can feel the power coming up tho usually 3krpm to wherever you do you gear shifting - mines was on a slightly hilly route and my thing destroys uphill gradients now

Thanks guys, does it matter what sort of roads i use then? Just hope i can find some clear roads then :\

Do they need to go through every gear like full rev's?

as Simon mentions above it varies depending on the mapper/cirumstances and to a degree the ECU...........

who are you planning to use??
