Have a look down between drivers side of the intercooler at the pipe that comes from the turbo into the exhaust. If it's got a big bulbous pipe it's likely to have a cat fitted.
If it's a plain pipe (possibly wrapped) then your probably de-catted.
I am wondering if you have a turbo actuator or a lambda sensor problem.
Check to see if you have stored faults by using this guide.

22 - Knock Sensor.
32 - A/F Sensor #1 System
53 - Antenna
It could have been mapped to 99/V-Power.
The "Cat" under the passenger seat is a resonator box for sound only.

Check under the turbo to see if you have a sensor going into the exhaust. It should be quite obvious, this could be at fault but this is not being indicated with the codes.

You can reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a few hours or as per the Scoobypedia Guide.

Hey, I've the same problem with mine.
I've put a genuine MAF sensor.
When I turn on the engine the CEL doesn't pop up, but only when I drove it the light comes on, I don't know what is this.
The car shows some hesitations along 3000rpm,
The CEL is intermitent, goes on and off repeatedly
Really need your help

Hi globy i think it mite be your knock sensor or your o2 sensor as thats Wot was up with mine . As mine was doing the same have you joined the black wires together under the dash well there down by your feet if you lay in the footwell and look up you should see in the mass of wires and there should be some green and black wires . Wot my00 is it as mine is å my99 wagon hope this helps
