Default Remapping sti type r

Hi I am new to the subaru scene and am looking for info on remapping my 98 sti type r do I need to change the standard ecu or can I map it. what else would people recommend I'm not looking for mad power I just like abit more than what it has it has a owens developments turbo greddy boost controller not sure as anything else as I only purchased the vehicle any
Guidance welcomed

First of all you need rid of the boost controller then a 3 port boost solenoid and an ESL board/Simtek or similar. Then depending on how far you wish to go with it an exhaust and possibly a decat. I take it it's a v4 being 98 with a coilpack in the centre of the manifold. Where abouts are you.

I'm based not far from Dublin yes its a version 4 model aslo it the greddy boost controller a bad idea it was in the car when I purchased it

Yes boost controller is definitely a bad idea with your fuel.
