Anyone have any ideas why the person who did my remap would cable tie the connectors together? I want to carry out a fault finding test because I get the warning light 'Check Engine' come on every so often. Just seems a bit odd to have tied them up.

Depending what you have it mapped with?
Is it alcateck? If yes then the diagnostic ports don't work for you anymore.
If ESL then they do.

Standard ECU remap (and carried out by Duncan sometime ago) therefore the diagnostics ports should all be as they were before. I just find it unusual that they've been tied together almost as though they shouldn't be used again.
MY00 UK Turbo, road remap first then finished off on the RR at SRR. Nothing massively special, has the same TD04 and runs slightly over 280 horses.

Ah my00 will be Ecutek then most likely.
Not sure if ecutek retains oem diagnostic? Sure someone will be along to confirm.
Some ECU maps like alcatek use CEL as shift and knock light.

Are they connected, or just tied up out of the way. Tied up out of the way is how they come from factory
Tied up, not connected so perhaps he just did it for neatness then?
I have tried asking him but never got a reply.
Cheers
