Default Engine swap

I've currently got a 1.6 bugeye, I'm getting a 2 litre engine soon I'm wanting to know would it go straight in? Or do I need to swap the driveshafts too?

Drive shafts are the least of your worries, will need loom changing and ecu and quite a few other bits, not even sure the gearbox will match up to that engine so possibly a diff and box as well as hubs and shafts. And of course 2l brakes

I've been told that the loom would be alright, I knew I'd have to do the breaks and stuff though

2 litre turbo or N/A?

I can't seer any possible reason to do this swap, rather than just buying a 2l Bug in the first place, other than an insurance scam?

Don't bother then, you'll spend more doing the conversion than you would chopping yours in for a wrx.

I only wanted to do it because the engine was free, it was taking up space in a friends garage
