Default CEL lamba problem

Recently been having cel come on,, code 32 oxygen sensor., changed lamba still comes on,,

Now this will on come on say motorway driving in 5th gear,,

On country roads everyday driving light again will only come on when in 5th Normaly when going up a hill or again at speed,,

I can guarantee on my Normaly route to work at top this hill boom the light is on when in 5th just driving along.,

Iv gone up in 4th gear no problem no light driving down motorway keep it in 4th at speed no light,, I'm puzzled to what is causing this

Car is v4 jdm with uk lump in and was set up few months back

Car will sometimes start to idle slightly rough

Having doubts if it's maybe maf,, but not throwing up code

I used to get that on my99 uk turbo, exact same thing, its just the sensor overheating as you are labouring in 5th up the hill. That was on std cat and std ecu

Strangely it never occured when i fitted the prodrive ecu & a sport cat.

Thats a newage in that pic.

Classic only has 1 sensor in the downpipe. It location varies. Its at the top of downpipe from my98-00 and towards bottom on earlier. And even if it was a decat the sensor remains fitted

What I thought is that the front oxygen sensor it the one that is used for afr adjustments and the rear/mid sensor monitors o2 levels?

i had the same problem as you 60-80mph in 5th allways uphill. it's the begining of the end for the 02 sensor it's on ot's way out, there is a good video on you tube as to how to test them using a vice blow torch and a multi meter

Have you done an ecu reset with the black and green plugs? This will clear any fault codes. I'm not saying this will work but worth a try.

Just a thought but if the car is now decat and hasn't had a remap then maybe on low load driving like 5th gear cruising there maybe over fuleling causing a rich mixture and throwing a error code?
I'm going to buy a wideband lambda and afr gauge before I start mapping mine because they are far more accurate than the standard narrow band ones
