help! aftermarket limiter kills engine?
Hi guys,
A while back I bought a Bee-R limiter to put on my baby Vivio, just for a laugh. I finally decided to install it, wiring the green wire into the TDC pickup on the distributor and the yellow wire. onto my coil input. It doesnt have any cam/crank angle sensors but TDC pickup does the same effect.
The problem I have is that unless it's on full throttle, the engine dies. And even at full throttle it dies after a few seconds. The limiter should be restricting at 9000 to 10000 rpm at the moment, but im lucky if the car reaches 3000 before it kicks in.
Any ideas on why this is?
Thanks in advance guys!

I had a bee-r on my old GT4 and had to wire a remote switch to it so i could turn it off as it did all types of funny things, even when the gain and rpm where set way above the standard limit or off it was still bringing in the limiter etc...
It happened once to me pulling out rather embarrassingly of Tesco it cut in and wouldn't let it rev above 2k!
Not saying its a fix to your problem but it helped me out.
