Wanting the map tweaked after fmic and fitting 3 port boost solenoid.when at tuners it turns out its ecutek and cant open ecu.
I take it its locked to stop others looking at maps etc.but where does this leave me now?other mappers I take it wont tweak anothers map? So its a full map now .could I get another ecu and go back to open source? Car was mapped when I had it.can the original mapper give me the details to unlock? As there miles away
Thanks

Yes the original mapper would have locked it so his work is not visible to others. He would charge £150 to tweak the map if you took back to him.
Remember, the license is with the ecu so a fresh map with a different mapper should be no more than £300. Any mapper would charge the same amount to open source it so you'd be no better off.
