reading fault codes

Default reading fault codes

hi guys, went to plug the laptop into my car with the odb2 lead and got abit confused (was easy on a french car) i have found the port and connected, loaded the software (easyobd II) and ignition on. all goes green apart from one which stays red saying 'no vehicle response', am i doing something wrong? or need to download some other software?

what year is your car? before 99 they are not obd2 so ur reader prob wont work. usual way on earler years is to connect the black connectors under the dash, above the pedals. then read the code via the check engine light. visit http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/help.htm for more info.

forgot to say, its a 2001 bugeye, will that method work for mine?

Get yourself a vag 409.1 cable and download the free subaru select monitor, it has some pretty good features
