Looking at that part number across the net would suggest it's for a 2,5 na

225 mm go up to 1998 Impreza

230mm are the later newage/blob.

If its a blue box its probably this one

You might check Mart at Lateral , he did me a good offer on mine.

mark@lateralperformance.co.uk

Probably would go for the pink if you are pushing out more than 270 , mine smells a bit now I am over 300 , but its probably saving my 5MT

That's the problem, I'm trying to find out if the one I've been offered is a genuine pink box. Which is why I could do with the part numbers for the disc as this one has fjd025u stamped on it?

Well this link shows that the size for this fjd025u is 225 mm
and is from Imprezza pre 2001.

This link even shows you a pictures both sides and applications for this #

http://www.autopartoo.com/oem/exedy/fjd025u.html

I guess you first task is to check the sizes and segments , but on this pn the links at least don't show it as being pink. From memory It looks more like the one I fitted on my car MY05 which was out of a "blue" box , but had no special colouring on the plate or disc. The point here is the application as both the blue / pinks for Newage / blobs are 230mm.

Scooby clinic state that PN FJC521 (230mm) Fit all Classic to MY05 and have tested to 350bhp. So reading this personaly I would not take a 225mm if I were going to do some mods.

I would imagine that Pink pressure plate would be applying a considerable amount more clamping force. Which personally I now would be helpful as my "blue" clutch slips too much on a smart pull away from the lights.

IMO get yourself a 230mm Pink and leave the fjd025u alone.
