Is it ***** about to let go
certainly not because of 17 PSI!
I had mine running at 22 PSI with a new turbo and it was fine - I would not run it like that long term granted. I ran 19 PSI for some time on the original turbo, and thrashed it round Knockhill with 5-10% less fuel up to 7000 RPM wherever possible at 18 PSI midrange.

I put one on a MY01 at 16.5 PSI and it was fab. Logged a UK 300 at about 17 PSI with a downpipe only and it was as happy as a happy thing. (the PPP is just a posh fuel cut defender).

must admit mine seems to run better at 16ish psi than 17+.
remove it on long haul though as far to twitchy; now up-pipe fitted boost builds like a bitch!

Thought I should mention, the only reason I have yet to have a Dawes on my car is that it is only 4 weeks old now! ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
