Has anyone had their manifold ported / polished Etc & are the gains worth the expense, Is it much of a job to remove & replace the manifold (apart from the seized studs part) Im quite competent & don't mind tackling most jobs.

Cheers

Dean,

it makes a huge difference - your car will sound different tho - less burbly - when I had mine done I needed an extra 3% of fuel on boost due to much improved gas flow!

Question

Trout, how did you deal with the up pipe? Did you get a new one or something else?

Floyd,

at the moment it is the original - also flowed - could do with something new tho - am struggling to get over 350bhp.

Although with stock internals - maybe the money on proper headers and uppipe might be enough to cause engine to meltdown - would be nice to see over 360bhp before it dies

The up pipe has a sleeve inside. I split it round its circumference about 10 times then peened it open and got it ported in the normal way.
Trout : What turbo are you running and what do you think of it.
I am still on standard VF28 but already have 550 injectors in advance of a turbo and fuel pump upgrade.
