type r dccd light flashing
basically i crashed my type r so iv put everything into a new shell
iv cut the loom down friom the type r for the dccd and fitted it into my new shell
for some reason though the green bottom light is flashing
the lock light was coming on before and now just thge lower light is flashing
im pretty sure all my wiring is correct but does anyone have any idea why the light would just flash or will it sort itself out when it eventually gets driven?
currently not in a fit state to do this
i have been spinning the wheels etc when its in the air and titting about with various components so is it likely this is the fault or have i damaged the dccd controller or something?
cheers

when you put the key in it flashes on lock
then flashes on a square that roughly corresponds to where the thumbwheel is positioned
then stays flashing on the bottom square...anyone experienced anything like this before?

iv only chopped and re made a few wires though
these being lives to the relay with the pink plug
a few earths switched live at back of clocks on a green plug one earth on the green plug and then thats about it
and then obviously the 2 wires to the diff
scratching my head a bit here
originally had no power as i did not connect the relay live feeds up correctly but now i have and thats when it started flashing
it worked perfectly befor ein the crash damaged car and tbh there is not a lot to the dccd controller and loom so i cant figure out how or why iv got a fault unless its because it has not been driven???
does gear box oil level effect it and make it malfunction as its a bit low!

If you want to rule out the DCCD unit itself then do the following.
Unplug the connector from the top of the gearbox and check for continuity using a mutli meter. The two pins should form a circuit, if not then there is a break in one of the wires inside the diff casing. The most common place for a break is where they go inside the top plate on the housing.
