Morning all,

Just a quicky regarding the cleaning of backboxes?

I bought and fitted a magnex back box, and sparkly shiny it was. It has now started to get sort of rusty marks on the tailpipe, just wondered what is best to get rid and how to prevent in the future?

Thanks,

Jim

I use chrome cleaner on mine, leaves it noce and shiny and also gets off any tar spots etc.

Just give it a quick once over each time you wash it.

About time you polished it then Jim.
You can't go wrong with Autosol, that's what I cleaned it with before I sent it to you.

Thanks peeps for the advice,

Hi Scott - I have been a bit tardy, wot with putting in a new kitchen, decorating, traipsing up and down to London each week, I never seem to get chance to wash the ruddy car!

Autosol it is then - sounds a bit like a cure for Piles!

Thanks,

Jim

Edited to say - How often does this need to be done?

I probably use Autosol once every 4-6 month just to get rid of the yellowing.

But the tailpipe gets a wipe every time I wash the car, which is about every 1-2 weeks....

Hello..

Is it also possible to use these products on the outside of a ScoobySport muffler.
I'm asking, because the tip isn't that bright anymore.
It is shining gold-colour, but it also gets a little bit dull.
Is there a way to get the tip shiny again?
I don't want to use Chrome polish or other agressive materials, because it might scratch the tip.

With regards,

Hans de Jong
