ITG Panel filter oil - is it OK?

I got an ITG panel filter thru the post today and just fitted it during lunch. I realise there is a thin film of foil on the underside (not dripping) - is this ok? I have heard that oil getting to the MAF sensors can cause all sorts of damage...
