Syntrax Gearbox oil- i'm confused
Ok ppl, i posted a thread about gearbox oil asking which one to use in my recently aquired Sti V-limited. After a lot of suggestions i thought syntrax would be good. Castrol Syntrax that is (also know as driveline). So went down to Halfords and found it but got a bit confused?
Is it: Syntrax Universal 75w90 ? the green top one-but doesnt say its for manual? it said PREMIUM gear oil.
but there was also another one with a manual g/box logo something: syntrax sm-5? that said SYNTHETIC gear oil and had a RED top.
if i get really impatient i may jus put some premium
which one?

Thanks guys, yeah the green top one the exact name is 'Driveline Syntrax Universal' Grade stated on the back is 75w90 from Halfords at £10.99 for 1L, apparantly thats all I needed for a top up and have done it now with the aid of a small funnel (didnt even need a hose). I have heard that overfilling it is a good idea but i only topped it up to F on the dipstick. What do you guys think?

overfilling the five speed didn't seem to do any good on my old box (hence why I put a 6 speed in there) broke it in three weeks anyway.
Don't think any of us could "prove" it helps or not..

I'm def changing mine for syntrax on 6 speed, but wonder if I should leave silkolene 75w90 in my rear diff or would that also prefer Castrol? Its a R180 diff.
