DCCD: What do I need
If I wanted to fi a DCCD to my classic impreza what would I need other than the diff itself and the roller? ie; wiring, ecu's and the such.

I can live with that. I want to take it on a track etc. so I would like the ability to adjust it instead of having to live with how it is

Most people just set it on the 2nd green and leave it, it can be a bit complicated to try to adjust whilst driving anyway.
Best thing is, just to change your car to a JDM one with it on, your rear brakes will need upgrading (you normally find 2 pots on the rears of DCCD equipped cars), loom, controller and a few other bits, for the cost of all the parts and fittings.... either that or spend the cash on AST's and brake upgrades which will make your car handle better

I have just installed a dccd trans into my non-dccd Sti V3.
I have now driven it in anger on a hillclimb in competition, and to be honest it is no big deal imho.
Spend the time and the money elsewhere.

my RA with DCCD is set mostly at second orange when sprinting for best results. Having full lock for starts didnt make much improvement to my starts. Either bogged down or broke something.
On a track day the DCCD was fantastic! Seems to make the car rear wheel drive if you push it to the limits. For 'smile factor' DCCD is great. As for real performance...well I wish I had it on my other car at weston this weekend on the beach...

Not me driving on the link.....best value motorsport I have ever had!

newer are way too complicated if you tried to wire it with auto mode
I simply pulled out ABS fuse, because it looks like too big of a job to completely ditch the ABS

It's not connected therefore it will continue to work after installation, however, the question will arise if, for instance, you had the diff 100% locked up under braking (unlikely on a tarmac i.e. non special stage car) and you lock one wheel.
Will the locked centre diff cause all 4 wheels to stop rotating and the ABS to then release the brakes on all 4 wheels?
I look forward to finding out ( on a private track of course) as I will shortly be fitting a dccd centre diff & transfer case to my P1 (together with loom etc).
easier on P1 s and JDM non Dccd cars as they have matching front and rear diffs and 1:1 transfer gears, whereas Uk models have 1.1:1 transfer gears and non matching front and rear diffs ( so you have to change the rear diff to match the front one too).
Will report back.
