Default Cant source Diff Oil locally

Im looking for some Diff/ Gear box oil for my service, but cant seem to source any locally (coventry)

Its for a P1 and im looking for either Castrol Syntrax, or Silkolene Syn 5.

can anyone reconmend where to source either one the cheapest, and/or offer me alternative oils to use and where to get them from?

Thanks in advance.

p.s. i've tried Halfords, MVC, Oscott etc. etc. Oscott can only get it in if i buy it by the box load (12*1ltr or 5*5ltr)...

Very odd that halfrauds don't have syntrax. Every one I've been in has some, even the small ones. Good money spinner for them at £10+ / ltr.

Just bought 5 litres of Millers TRX Synth 75W90 off ebay for about £45 delivered. Just right for doing the gearbox and rear diff. Whoever it was I got it off has still got 4 more bottles.

Millers from Zen Performance or AS Performance, either will advise the best grade for your car

Mate, I used to live in the COV area......I would be very susprised if Elliots do not have any....... Elliotts Autostore, 13 London Rd, Coventry, CV1 2JP

If they do not have it I bet they can get it......haggle on the price also...they do a discount card...

Remember, the gearbox and diff need GL5 oil.....many oils meet that spec..you do not have to go for the big names to get the same quality...
