i have an import 95 wrx auto and 3rd gear has suddenly stopped working on the auto box. it goes into 3rd gear but at about 2000rpm it will just red line and have no drive.
has the gear box gone or could there be some this else wrong. i have just has a new cat down pipe fitted and there was no hole for the exhaust temp sensor so the sabuar garage have just disconected it and said it should be oaky. could this be causeing it. i dont think it will be as what would this have todo with gear box but could be making ecu go wrong.

can anybody help
