PS of course ANYTHING can be done; realistically this one's a non starter. Reverse gear running shaft is in the wrong place and you can fiddle the rest in but reverse won't go in at all.

I presumed that he only had the gearset. But yes, why not fit the whole box if you have it, it'll go in and your problem is solved.

STI RA with Dccd and 3.9 diffs, it was just a thought of cost effective upgrade, I've seen some nice OE ratios that have been cryogenically treated from Gruppe S.

As much as I'd love the PPG stuff its top end budget wise, for a reason no doubt!

As far as I am concerned [ and know ] once a gear is made and heat treated [ 65 on the Rockwell scale ] That is it. Nothing else you can do to it will make any difference.

My business before APi was building World Rally transmissions for Ford, Vauxhall and factory supported independents. That was a while ago and things may have moved on. But given to poor quality of Gruppe S headers I would be VERY surprised if anything they did with gears was any use either.
