Engage first to pull away - clonk, clonk throught the peddle
MY99 WRX RA
Any ideas? It's getting worse.
The gearbox was rebuilt about 2000 miles ago. There's no slip, grinding or any other issues just this annoying clonking when gently engaging and pulling off in first. I've done a search but can't find anything specific unfortunately. Please help, it's beginning to **** me off!
Cheers lads

I get this clunking noise in my MY05 STi but only once and only on cold mornings. Start car, wait a few secs to belt-up, press clutch, engage gear, release clutch. Its during that release (always in reverse, mind) that it clunks once and then never heard of again. o_O
I'm hoping its something to do with reverse being awquard, rather than the clutch being damaged. Had a TSL 333 recently but aside from that no other engine work so it shouldn't be anything slack. Who knows...
