A 3-Jaw, Some Ally And An Afternoon
Nothing jaw-droppingly impressive but i've wanted to have a go at making one for ages and finally got round to it this afternoon.
No flash tools or CNC equipment here. Just a very basic lathe with 3-jaw chuck, a tap/tap wrench, drill bits and some patience. Started off by cutting a section of this off...
...and after some jiggery pokery came up with this...
The dangerous thing is the more time i spend on the lathe the more i want bigger and better - and they don't come cheap!

Hey Graham. 
House is nearly at a decent stage now so am looking to have a new Impreza early next year. Very tempted by a few that have come up recently but have to be sensible!

You are half my age, get out there and buy one.
There are some fab cars on the Snet for silly silly money, just for once get a bargain!
Your house looked great, and that IS a sensible thing to get done first, understand that.
