Hi, thanks for that, but i have just purchased a genuine subaru worshop manual on cd today and this states that they should be 0.95-1.0mm??????? so that is what i set them too earlier and have just finished putting everything back together and shut the bonnet.

How did you get on? I just changed my plugs on my sti4. The plugs which I removed were PFR6B's, and had plug gaps ranging from 1.00mm - 1.4 mm!
Can't believe the engine actually fired!
Got PFR7B's set at 0.7mm in there now and boy, what a difference. Fires up more readily than before and, I don't know if i'm imagining it but seems to pull better aswell, as if i've gained some torque!
Oh, and the old knock link is quieter aswell.
Goes to show what a difference a set of descent plugs that are set right, can make.
