its not a direct fit, you will need to cut about 20mm off the clutch resevoir, you then need the left hand STI intercooler bracket and you will have to do some seriuos hammering and bending to your righthand bracket, then you will need a quality samco Y piece to fit on to your car as the sti one is too small, its a tight fit to get it in but once in its ok.

Stevebt, with regard to the samcos, what did you ask for exactly when you bought yours, and what did you do for a d/v hose? Right in the middle of trying to fit one of these. Cheers in advance. Also, d'you have any probs with the back of the i/c hitting the bulkhead?

at first i bought a longer 90 degree bend to fit over the sti metal Y piece, but then i changed back to my 99/00 original samco Y piece as it was better d/v hose ??? i bought a newage dump valve . yes i did have problems with it hitting of the bulk head as ive stated a few times its due to the intercooler not being held securely due to modifying brackets , but after a trip to an enginnering firm ive cured my problem

How do you go about cutting the resovoir ? Is it just a case of attacking it with a junior hacksaw or did you get a new shorter on made ?

Take off the reservoir itself and cut 20mm off as steve says, hacksaw's as good as anything. Re-attach with jubilee clip. Alternatively, use the sti8 master cylinder, which has the reservoir mounted differently, allowing the i/c to go straight on without the need to hack it about.
