recently changed my blitz nur spec r for a H+S system
to quiten things down a bit but its actually louder,
i went for the 4" tail-pipe which is the louder 1

i've got gen spec II aftermarket un-exual headers and up-pipe,magnex down-pipe
H+S centre and back box(4" tail-pipe)

really,i only want to change 1 thing. the centre or the back box.
i could go for the much quieter smaller tail-pipe H+S but its only
3 and a half inch
want something 4" minimum really.....or should i just change the centre ?
if so,which 1 ? still got to be decatted !!!!
any links etc would be appreciated..

How about a Magnex resonated centre.
Personally run a Revolution full system and decat, pretty quiet but gives a lovely deep flat 4 burble
Tail pipe's are available as a 3.5" round and a 5x4 oval

yeah richie,i was thinking along the lines of a resonated centre myself
i had the non-res magnex as my first de-cat centre but then changed to the blitz and now H+S,,so may opt for the mag res . . be cheaper than replacing the back box
and could probably sell H+S centre for 80 odd quid i spose

The resonator will not make much diff to noise levels (-2db?). It does take the harshness off the sound though. I have a centre section silencer which makes it a fair bit quiter without restricting flow....alot less boomy. Cant believe the difference it made with and without it along with a Nur Spec.

Have taken it off my car if your interested? You'll have to have it welded onto your centre.

ive been offerd a wap of back-boxes,,just awaiting his reply.

therefore a resonated centre would be in between what ive got now and the standard 1
