Default Oil consumption

Had my 2yr service On MY02 bugeye in August. Checked my oil level 1 month later and it had dropped to just over half. I know this could be cause the numpties didn't put enough in at the service. So I topped it up.
Have checked my oil level again today some 3 months on and it has dropped
again to bout 3/4. Now I know all modern cars use oil, and the breather systems used today burn it off.
How much do Impreza's is this quite normal consumption. There is no visable signs of any leaks, either on my drive or under the car.
Cheers

Thats about 250mil of oil in 3000 miles. I would of thought thats not too much.

Ok.... Car is driven quite hard, everytime its used, just have a lead foot and smile everytime.
My Clio 172 used use quite a lot and it stated in the owners manual how much should be expected to use over a certain amount of miles

My MY03 WRX uses about between 0.5 and 1 litre every 5000 miles, and has done so from new. I have no idea if this is a problem or not.

My 79000km (49375 miles) bugeye uses nothing (280 hp and lots of trackdays).

So it's normal for Subarus to use oil? That's new to me.

It's normal for last revision WRX's with "softer" piston rings!
I didn't ever suffer from oil consumption in my old MY00 even at hardest conditions when I add about 500ml per change (5000km) in my WRX03!
