Default Max MAF voltage seen with TD05 FE?

Am curious in general what's the max voltage seen on your MAF sensor running with the FE TD05? or any other turbos..

The max i see is 4.44V @ 6200rpm. On another MY00 with the twin scroll, vf37, its about 4.4V max. I know that there should know be a comparision between the TD05 and vf37 as the compressor map of the Vf37 is not available to most and i don't know how much air it flows AND both cars mods are also different. The variable in check here is has anyone got a higher value? Bottleneck somewhere?

Depends on what intake you are using.

The calibration is also not linear, small differences can represent quite large variations in airflow at the top end.

Better to use a dyno run - could use Delta Dash to give you an idea.

Apexi paper open-pod => MY00 std MAF housing => Zero sports 90mm intake spool => oem plastic turbo air intake => FE TD05

What numbers did you see on your MAF sensor output? Though it may not be linear at the top end, does it mean that there is some restriction or some room for improvement somewhere along the line? What's the max V seen with a TD05?

Think I had about 4.8 out of an MD304 with the airbox, but this dropped to about 4.5 with the APS induction kit and was then similar with the TD05 but this was running 1.5 bar at the top. T-uk's car now runs similar running 1.25 bar with headers.

As I say, power testing is far more appropriate.

4,8V (300gr/s) @6400RPM and 1.5 bar read on STi7 with Andy's TD05/06-20G (stock air intake with JR panel filter).
Be careful if your car hasn't been remapped, the ECU should raise a CE and switch to safe mode where it decreases boost, IDC and timmings when it reads more than 290gr/s.

;-)
Anyway, 4.44V corresponding to about 248gr/s seems to be quite normal (good power). And you can have differences between winter/summer measurements.

Yes, i was running 1.2bar on the TD05 where i data logged the 4.44V figure on my emanage. And i just pull out my TD05 comp map where it equals to approx 255g/s at Pr 2.2. ( assuming 87% VE @ 7000rpm )

I had the impression that the TD05 will outflow the std MAF on the MY00....
