I've found some details over the pond on http://www.rallispec.com/
Click on engine systems and then Turbo & Intercooler.
I've just obtained a type C tank from friends building a rally car out of a Type C. I've not yet installed it yet though.
I'll let you know how I get on, if you wish?

Ian

Guys can email you the details on a spec c boot water-tank. Ordered it on-line got the conversion rate sorted and delivered to my door it has cost me £95.00 of the queebs finest. As for the fitting ask the importer for advice and they said it would come with the required kit but failing that it wouldn't be to gard to make something up as it goes onto the back seat. Hope this helps

Silly question Scoobywhite, but why on earth do you need such a big waterspray tank?
Do you do long stints round the Nurburgring or something? At end of day unless you actually need the tank capacity (and the only circumstances under which you're likely to are if you're rallying the car), there are far more useful ways to spend £100-odd on the car.

I also think the Type C tank imposes on the boot space less than the standard Sti tank and means less frequent fill-ups.
I've got to agree £100 for an oversized washer bottle is steep, however that's Subaru prices for you!

Speak to Lee at GrahamGoode(Tel.+44 (0)116 2440080) He'll be able to help. He's just quoted me £115+VAT+Del. for the genuine tank, pump and mounting hardware. Approx. 2 week delivery from Sti. Unfortunately he can't get the mounting hardware seperately, which I need!
I think someone needs to set-up a group buy!
Best regards,
Ian

May be somebody with one could lend one so a copy could be priced up. I'm sure that it would only cost a few pounds to produce if we could find enough interest.
Anybody work in or for a plastics company ?

I just know that I would like have this water tank in my car ;-)
More cheap I can get better!!!
We probably should make a thread to see how much people are interested in this part to see we can make a group buy ;-)!!!
Then we need someone that know factory or dealer to see the best price we can get!!!
Other thing, we must not forget that the original Impreza Spec C water tank already bring the water tank the mounting brackets and supports and water pump!!!!!!
Waiting for "news" ;-)

Take care guys! That Type c tank will be a bargain at that price compared to getting a 'replica' made. They are made using Rotation Moulding, the tooling will be about 1500£ and post ops needed to fit the pump etc, been there and done it in my past jobs. The Type C tank looks really nice, and who cares about the loss of boot space really?
Mark, the weight is in the right place too for hill climbing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update..........tank now fitted.... sad fact of the day 12L tank, with standard timer relay 3 second squirts = 600 squirts per tanks or 30 mins of continuous running. That'd be some hill climb. So GM was right in that the tank is plenty big enough!!!

Mark is right. I quench the TMIC with very cold water just before a run using a bucket and sponge! Put ice cubes into the IC spray bottle to realy chill the water.
Get to the start line ASAP, do not turn the spray on yet as the startline marshals will stop you running! (they suspect a water leak), get off the line, 5000 rpm and dump the clutch, and switch on the spray.
Drive it like you hate it, cross the line and turn it off before the marshals see you!
Look at your time and dream up a better excuse than the next guy why you are slow!
The thrill of a hill climb.
