Default ECU replacement for swap from TD04 to TD05?

For MY96 wagon, can the standard ECU support the swap from TD04 to TD05? Should I obtain the standard ECU for TD05?

If it is a MY96 UK Wagon it should have a TD05 as standard. The JDM Wagon had the TD04 as Standard.

Cheers

Mine is just standard, and is considering to install the ball bearing TD05 to see if there any any major improvement in throttle response.

Why stay with the standard ECU will introduce lag when TD05 is installed?
