VF34 kit from Gruppe S questions?
Have a WRX03 (approx. 275) with full decat and ECUTEK wanna take it a stage further.
Saw this on a US website:
http://www.gruppe-s.com/Subaru/PowerPackages.htm
the second power package looks quite appealing and with the cheap dollar I am really considering it.
Has anyone bought from these guys? whats their service like?
What do I need to change to put the VF34 and the rest of the kit? do I need a new intercooler? new remap? what is Link Ecu?
many questions I know but please help

To achieve similar power (350 hp) you could alternatively buy a secondhand hybrid turbo (MD304 in the For Sale Section £700 ish )MD304 Hybrid Turbo
some STi injectors second hand @ £300 ish, fuel pump £100 ish and go for an ECUTEK remap again.
Ideally you would need to upgrade to STi top mount Intercooler or front mount Intercooler to go above this power (and uprate the engine internals)
Link ECU is an aftermarket ECU, it replaces your cars electronic brain if you like and is user programmable for those people who can map cars, not really needed if your using ECUTEK.

is the VF34 a straight swap and how easy are the injectors and turbo to fit? I presume I will have to do a custom Tek3 after the swap instead of the mail order Tek 2 I have at the moment.
Thanx for your advice

I bought a VF34 from Max and it was here in 5 days!!!, bought injectors from extreme psi and here in 10 days. All very good service and all by paypal. It makes second hand bits not worth considering, what with the exchange rate.

Disagree Mark, you cant apply that statement to all secondhand goods, the VF34 is an off the shelf item, nothing too special, doesnt make any more power than a VF35, IMHO the secondhand MD304 (at half its original value) is a better turbo, its been proven on a car and at £700 its a bargain!
Yes, the exchange rate is good for importing items but then theres shipping, import duty and VAT to add on, doesnt look that promising after all.
SAPKAN: - Yes you will need a TEK3 after these mods to take advantage of it all. Consider changing the standard up-pipe as well to get rid of the cat.
