Default WR sport box - nice rumbly sound?

Looking at one of these on my newish MY03 WRX. Mostly because I don't want to lose my warranty, and can't afford a PPP right now. Will this give me a noticable increase in noise? I want a nice sound, but not too loud (but louder than the standard WRX twin pipe).

Alternatively, are there any friendly subaru dealers that will accept a 3rd party backbox and still uphold my warranty?

Most Subaru dealers if spoken to nicely are happy to accept a back box. Certainly the two dealers I have used (pm for details) have always been fine with sensible mods.

The WR Sport back box is essentially a PPP back box with a different shape tail pipe. They do sound nice and rumbly, especially under power.

I had one on my MY01 and it gave is a nice burble, not too loud but certainly distinctive. When I eventually upgraded to a PPP, there was no noticable differance in noise levels between the new PPP and WRsport boxs.

Thanks to both of you.

Is it possible to buy PPP back boxes, as I'd prefer the round design to the oval. Or are they only available if you get the PPP?

Keep an eye on the for sale section on this board.

People often buy the PPP pack and the fit there own exhaust.
