Question

I am considering going the MoTEC route. Unfortunately my search isn't working, so anyone got any opinions as to which one and what options to have?

I suggest you Motec M48 pro with a group N loom - this way you dont have to cut the original loom, if you sell your Scooby, you can reinstall the factory ECU.

I agree with Damon7 here. However in NZ we call it the plug and play loom

Money well spent in my opinion. I ended up getting the M48 Clubman with the Pro tuning option. This is exactly what you'll get by buying the Pro anyway.

The beauty of the Motec is that I can remove it, stick in the stock ECU and then fit my Motec to something else . . . like a tractor

I have the M48 Pro. It's a very good ECU
but to get the best from it, you need a very experienced person to perform the programming. If you go for it, give attention to that.

Thanks for all the info.

Disco, yep its for the RS (shock horror a tuned Skoda!). Looking to take it to about 200-210 (from 180) and torque to about 235 (from 173). Torque is more important to me. Anyway, what are you doing sniffing round drivetrain????
