Red face

Has anyone else experienced this?

Happened yesterday after having it fitted for a few days. I was slowing to a stop and the revs dropped to 0! Quite bad as I was on a hill and lost brake / steering power. Hasn't done it since but I'm a bit suspicious now...

All the fittings are tight so it should be ok....

It sounds like you may have a leak from the vacum hose. I have one of these fitted and it's never caused me a problem but then again I'm trying to sell it as I want something a bit louder

Is it a vent to atmosphere or recirc type ?

Vent to atmosphere can cause this if for any reason it doesn't stay shut ... ecu can then get a bit confused, hence stall.

Hi Mark, did you follow my guildlines when you last posted ref to a DV???

Is the spring a Blue one ?(rigth tension), is it making a sound it's supposed to or do you have to rev hard for a sound?

If you have the the wrong spring (forge RED) than you are not dumping the air, that will causes problems

Cool

Maxy
The weaker spring is blue.

RB5108
Phone up Forge and get them to send you another spring. I did last week and am most imprezad with the difference. Mine was very quiet, but if it isn't loud enough for you after putting a weaker spring in, perhaps put a megaphone by it to amplify the noise
Good luck

Wink

TC,

It is the blue spring and it's making all the right noises! Its a fine art keeping the revs high so you can scare people! At around 4000 ish rpm its very loud. Even at low revs you can hear it.

It has been behaving it's self so I'm happy with it at the moment

Must get round to arranging a summer meet... You still up for it?

Rosco, glad all is well now
