Hi all,

Seasons Greetings !

Does anyone have the part# or a supplier where I can get the little clutch sensor that senses the clutch is pushed in so that the car can start. I have a JDM STI 7. The little sensor has an intermittent fault, sometimes it senses that the clucth is in and sometimes I have to pump the clutch twenty or more times before the car will start.

Thanks,
Ray

PS: It is a little push button that sits behind the clutch pedal and sends a signal to the ecu that the clutch is engaged therby allowing the car to turnover.

Hi,

Thought of that, but want the safety of being only being able to start the car with the clutch pressed in just incase I park it in gear and a friend goes to drive it and attempts to start without clutch pushed in.

Cheers,
Ray

Hi,

Surely someone has a JDM STI7 or 8 or 9 where the clutch engaged sensor has gone ?

Cheers,
Ray

Before you get too disheartened at the lack of replies Ray, have a peek under the dash (if you haven't done so already) and see if the clutch switch is the same as the one used on the brake pedal.

IIRC this is the case on the STi6, and if it applies to your car too, getting a new brake switch would be a piece of pee...
