I would be interested in any answers to this too, as I'm considering getting the "full-works" remap at TSL (exhaust, fuel pump, air filter, remap) on my STI7. It's claimed to produce 333BHP!

Rimram,
have you had the P1 dyno'd at all after carrying out the changes. All of the changes above are on my Christmas shopping list so I was wondering what the ball-park bhp figure would be.

Didn't TSL tell you when they remapped it. I thought you should get a readout before and after?

Sorry yes they did give me before and after figures, with all the mods and re-map took half a second off all the first run test, which apparently is quite good, it did take them 6 hours to do the re-map coz it was the first P1 to be done with their new Ecutek system, they did a custom re-map for me as it was the first one, should of cost £1200 but they charged me the standard £700

Cool

Compshack, TSL have an STi8 demo car with their remap, why not just ring them up and book a drive and find out for yourself. They let me have a go when they did the geom on my car a couple of weeks ago, I'd say it pulls a bit cleaner and slightly harder than my standard ppp. Bit difficult to tell the difference between 300 and 330 bhp on public/unfamiliar roads (and someone else's expensive car).

I did have a go in Graham's car. It did feel smooth. He's had the works done on it, remap, suspension, 18" lightweight wheels. It did feel good for the limited time I had to drive it. (It was also very wet). I just thought mine had more of the x factor, the kick in the back, the head jerk, and that's before the remap. Maybe there more after smooth instead of rip yer head off type stuff.
The reason for the thread was to see if anyone else thought the same thing?

Hear what you say, I suppose it boils down to a matter of taste. Can't say I got on with everything starting at 4000 on the standard STi, the ppp is so much easier to drive. I'd prefer the smooth so I think I'd get on well with the TSL remap if I ever went for it (I want a set of those lightweight bronze coloured wheels first). Wonder if its possible to map it differently for your taste and make it a bit more sudden?

I went out in the sti 8 demo car this week & Fooking hell it was quick, sliding around all over the ****ted up country lanes at 100 + mph.

The graphs Graham showed me were appx 340 bhp & 330lbs+ torque
very impressive (can't remember exact figures)

Did ask me if I wanted a drive but declined as my stomach was still at the first corner we took.

Mines booked in for 09.12.03 remap, prodrive springs & geometry, quickshift front strut brace + oil & filter change.

Still havn't sussed out which bank to rob!!!! (LOL)
