Hi,

We have a 97 sti import and only mod to the zorst system so far is a decat downpipe....obviously we want to do the centre and backbox but cant make up our minds which to go for.

We're quite interested in the Blitz system...which i have heard (nice!) from the outside...but what we dont want is drone on cruising...anyone know if the Blitz does drone?

Can anyone reccommend one...want to be heard but not a heavy drone on crusing...also comment on HKS would be cool?

Any ideas people?

Cheers,

Dan.

Cool

hi there

yes i've heard that the Blitz leavs a ringing in ur ears after a long journey from how it resonates in the car, mainly motorway journeys though. I'm still saving for mine though because its one of the best systems to highlite that gr8 scooby rumble!
I just ordered a HKS downpipe for mine, going to cut me hands to pieces trying fit that at weekend!
HKS are top quality too! but dont think they have the sound of a nur r spec system, but still have a good sound to them.
Hope this helps!
Many people however are choosing the scooby specialists like the afterburner, and firestorm but i not intrested cause always wanted a jap system! the british 1's are just as good if not better there no difference apart from the names!

Hi I've got a Blitz Nur R Spec fitted to my type R and it sound brilliant it really does inhance the scooby grumble, however on motorway journeys it does leave a slight ringing in the ears but if you have a good sound system its ok.

Hope that helps.

nesscoob - do use the bung in the system? & if so does it make much diff....i.e. cuts all that out on motorway journeys?

Have the HKS superdrager exhaust. Looks good, sounds great and quieter than the HKS hiper which has an angle exit for better flow and more noise. Avoid the HKS downpipe as noisy and closed neck therefore restrictive although anything that removes the catalyst will release more power. The hayward an scott downpipe seems the best according to most scoobynetters! Also, HKS exhausts are mild steel apart from the backbox which is stainless so may be more prone to corrosion on UK roads although mine has been fine for last 4 years!!Hope this helps!!

Blitz certainly looks good quality - go for back box and mid section. With downpipe also loud+++ although a bung is supplied. I think the only exhaust that competes with loudness is BPM twister!!
Also I have a 5 door scoob which definitely is noiser in the cabin - although don't do much motorway driving.

Anyway scoobs + aftermarket exhaust = big grins!!
