Question

I know - its a dawes question......

Anyone know what size of bolt best blocks the T-piece to Duty Solenoid hose ? I assume a bolt inserted in the hose and then a cable tie around the hose on the bolt would do the trick ?

Cheers,

Mark

Most people will find a few spare screws in their toolbox to do this, never measured it!

Cool

Fair enough - its just I'm fitting it (hopefully) tomorrow - but I'm going out in the morning and thought I'd call at B+Q to get one.....

Could always take a looksee before I go....

Cheers anyhow,

Mark

IIRC the hose is 3.5 to 4mm ID.

I used an M5 x 15 set screw, a tighter fit than an M4.

Sorted now - cheers -

Running at just under 1bar, acording to my gauge - was at .9 before.... I suspect I should take it up a touch, but I'm getting used to having it on first....

If your knocklink behaves, you could turn it up until it fuel cuts, then turn it back half a turn at a time until it doesn't, then take it back another half turn. Suspect you'll end up about 1.1 bar in 5th gear.

Question

John, I get occassional flicking of the bottom green led throughout the rev range (4000+) and v. occassional flicking second green around 5K.

Do you think its safe to wind up, so long as it doesn't get any worse?

(It was doing this when I first put it on, at .6 bar....)

Cheers,

Mark

I don't know what level of knocklink activity is damaging, so IMHO aim to keep it no noisier than stock. See long thread on 22b at the moment on the topic. http://bbs.22b.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/000548.html

Deliberately did it scruffy as I thought it would appeal. I lovingly coloured in the big red rather than reach for circle and fill it

Cool

John, I'm getting Scenerio A on your graph then ... (nice picture - LOL...)

I'll monitor it at the current boost level for the week and see if it changes (e.g. with the next tank of fuel (or maybe even BP )

In the mean time, I'll monitor your 22b thread v. closely - interesting stuff....

Thanks,

Mark
