My car has the following mods.

> Closed deck engine block
> 9.0:1 Compression ratio
> jun pistons
> jun conrods
> jun crankshaft (stroker 2.2)
> Motec engine management
> jun exhaust manifold (equal length)
> 850 injectors
> bosch fuel pump (strong one)
> Front mount I/C
> 6 speed STI gearbox
> at the moment I have an IHI VF 30 which peaks at 1.7 bar between 4500-5500, then drops to 1.3@6500.

The boost is like this:
in 1st 1.0 bar
2nd 1.1 bar
3rd 1.3 bar
4th 1.4 bar
5th 1.5-1.6 bar
6th 1.7bar
My problem is, why don't I have more boost in the lower gears.Actuator is set to 1bar I am thinking maybe it's the turbos fault , but apparently the VF22 does the same with the difference that it peaks at 1.4 only.

I spoke to AndyF once about a TD05/06 hybrid but he doesn't answer the mails I sent him recently.

If anybody has any ideas please share them with me.

Thanks in advance
Andy

Not like Andy not to return an e-mail so I recon he will be in touch if he sees this. He may have changed his e-mail address lately.
Your car will naturally pull less boost in lower gears than it will do in 4th or 5th. Floor the throtle in 4th and watch where you get 1 bar of boost. Then do the same in 5th and you will see it has got 1 bar a few hundred revs earlier. This is because you will get more out of your turbo by getting more load on it and obviosly you get little load on the lower the gear.
Your spec looks good but you will probably get good gains from a more able turbo.

Without in gear boost compensation you will always have lower boost in the lower gears due to the lighter load impedance, there are some things that might help, mail me your map and I'll have a look, what Motec ecu is it ?

cheers
