Actually if your car is a 22B then it might not be it... is your dump valve on the intercooler..???

type 'blowing over a milk bottle' into search and you will get loads of stuff up..

Sometimes when boosting my VF23 makes a lot more noise (like blowing over a bottle). If I back off it stops and may not happen when I boost again. Any ideas?

I don't have a boost gauge (yet) but the noise does not affect power.

Do you have a standard dump valve fitted as this is notorious for making the sound you explain...!

Dan,

Yes its the standard DV. Looks like I need to try another one to check. Just praying its not the turbo, although it would be a good excuse to change the DP

Now the question is what DV do I need for a 22b? Will any pre 99 fit?

Dan,

Yes its a 22b, so the DV is not connected direct to the intercooler. Think I'll check all the pipes and clean them if necessary, see if that helps.
