Hello!

I want to buy an electronic boost controller (HKS EVC IV) together with a VF23 turbocharger and have mapped a Unichip.

My car is a MY98. What boost level should I choose to be on the SAFE side. I use the car often on racetracks...

I thought about 1.1bar (16psi)?

Will the EVC make the ideal boost curve for this turbocharger?

greetings

Try to stick around 12-13PSI, 14.4PSI is the computer and fuel system limit, to run higher than 14.4PSI reliable you will need to change the fuel pump, injectors, computer and ideally put in a fuel riser.

Ric, a UK scoob SHOULD be able to run 16psi held without issue. I was holding 17psi via the link. But it depends on the map you run.

danny,

I take it you have put in an uprated fuel pump and a fuel riser as well as your new ecu?

Otherwise surely your car wouldnt cope?

Adam, my car was running this boost BEFORE fitting that little extra tank.

Adam, you should know that a UK car is going to be more than happy at that low level of boost with a Link, your own earlier MY car ran at that and uses the same fuel pump and injectors. Danny is quite correct.
