boost controller + Unichip + VF23 - what boost level to choose?
#1
Hello!
I want to buy an electronic boost controller (HKS EVC IV) together with a VF23 turbocharger and have mapped a Unichip.
My car is a MY98. What boost level should I choose to be on the SAFE side. I use the car often on racetracks...
I thought about 1.1bar (16psi)?
Will the EVC make the ideal boost curve for this turbocharger?
greetings

Try to stick around 12-13PSI, 14.4PSI is the computer and fuel system limit, to run higher than 14.4PSI reliable you will need to change the fuel pump, injectors, computer and ideally put in a fuel riser.

Adam, you should know that a UK car is going to be more than happy at that low level of boost with a Link, your own earlier MY car ran at that and uses the same fuel pump and injectors. Danny is quite correct.
