Can't think why not - as long as they are routed correctly afterwards. Dumping direectly into air is a bit of a no-no and in some countries it is definitely the case that there can only be one exhaust, ie the wastegate gases must re-join the main exhaust system. But I don't think that's the case in the UK/Europe - I have seen too many coaches with seperate wastegate exhausts sticking out the back! (I cycle in London so have a good view of the things )

Bats - I am not trying toi argue with you M8 - I am just under the understanding that if you run the wastegate directly to atmosphere then it is illegal BUT if it runs back into the exhaust system then it is OK.

Speak to Ian at Hayward and Scott, tell him I sent you and he'll discuss making a one off uppipe with Wastegate flange plus D/P to return it to!

Also, mail David Wallis (posts regularly on here) as he is running an external wastegate on his car!

If its plumbed in properly it shouldn't fail an MOT. Mine certainly didn't.

How many MOT testers would know where to look and what sort of wastegate is standard for every make and model of turbocharged car out there?
