Question

Just a paranoid moment as i'm getting the bearing redone on my air con as it made a funny noise after having the belts changed at the last service. Sadly the air con place had been sent the wrong bearing & only noticable after the hard work of removing it had been done. So as a result they had to remove the main belt to remove the air con type un till they get the proper bearing next week......
Now i seem to recall sumin about pistons or sumin potentially going **** up if the pulleys arent arranged in the way they should be & i'm sure they moved the top right little pulley a tad while the belt was loose & i just wanted to ensure this woodnt do anything damaging?

Different pulleys mate, the ones that mess with the pistons are in the cover which will not be touched when removing teh aircon.
Make sure the alternator belt is on though.

Red face

which pulleys & which cover? they had to remove the main belt to get the belt that runs on the air con pulley off (not sure which 1's called wot so fort it best to describe ) they removed the black top (cover?) of the main belt to do the necessary & as i say this is when i had a nagging doubt in the back of my mind as the belt came off so the air con belt kud b removed that the top right of the 3 (not sure how many there is actually but at least 3) main pulleys the smaller one appeared to move a tad so owt 2 worry bout?

si,

Dont worry they wont of touched your cam belt as this is in no way directly connected to the air-con pump, power steering pump or alternator... All the belts they will have touched are in front of the cam belt cover..

The main belt you refer to sounds like the alternator belt which does have to be removed to get to the air con belt..

The cambelt is under the black plastic cover that covers the whole of the front of the engine behind the two belts your talking about.
The worst thing that will happen to you is that the aircon wont work or the altonator wont work ...no bent valves
